1. Who we are

PostKeeper is an independent Chrome extension for exporting, backing up, and organizing X.com data that is accessible from your own browser session. PostKeeper is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp. or Twitter.

2. What PostKeeper does

PostKeeper helps you create a personal local archive of accessible X.com posts, likes, bookmarks, followers, and following lists. The extension can generate structured export files such as CSV, JSON, JSONL, Markdown, HTML, DOC, PDF, and ZIP.

This extension is designed solely to help users save and export their accessible X.com / Twitter content locally. The extension does not sell user data, does not use user data for advertising, and does not upload exported content to third-party servers unless the user explicitly enables such functionality.

3. What data the extension processes

Depending on the features you use, PostKeeper may process:

• X.com profile information visible to your account
• Posts and post metadata
• Likes accessible to your account
• Bookmarks accessible to your account
• Followers and following lists accessible to your account
• Export settings, export progress, and diagnostic logs
• License, access, and subscription status for paid Pro features

4. What data is stored locally

PostKeeper uses browser storage to save export jobs, progress, settings, archived items, social connection caches, and diagnostic information. Exported files are generated in your browser and saved to your own device.

5. What data is sent to our servers

PostKeeper is designed to process exported X.com data locally in your browser whenever possible. We do not use a server to receive your exported posts, likes, bookmarks, followers, or following lists in the current local export workflow. Cloud features, if introduced, will be clearly disclosed before use.

6. Payment and billing data

When you purchase Pro, we may process limited billing and license information, such as your email address, payment processor customer ID, subscription status, and license status, to provide paid access and customer support.

7. Analytics and diagnostics

Optional product analytics are disabled by default. If you opt in from the extension Settings, PostKeeper sends a pseudonymous installation identifier (hashed before transmission), a fixed product event, source type, export format, a coarse item-count range, a fixed error category when relevant, extension version, and timestamp.

PostKeeper never sends X.com posts, replies, media, usernames, profile URLs, bookmarks, cookies, tokens, message content, downloaded files, or exact item counts as product analytics.

Product analytics are stored in PostKeeper’s Cloudflare D1 database for up to 90 days to measure beta activation and repeat use. Turning the setting off stops future analytics events.

8. X.com password, cookies, and session handling

PostKeeper does not ask you to provide your X.com password. PostKeeper may operate within your existing browser session on X.com to access pages and data visible to you. The extension may use necessary session state from your browser to support user-requested export features. We do not intentionally collect, store, or transmit your X.com password.

9. Chrome extension permissions

PostKeeper may request Chrome permissions to provide the extension features described on this website, including:

• Access to X.com and related media domains to read pages and resources visible to your browser session
• Storage and unlimitedStorage to keep local archive data, settings, progress, and logs
• Downloads to save export files to your device
• Tabs to open or manage PostKeeper dashboard pages
• Alarms to resume or check long-running export tasks
• Cookies when necessary to support browser-session-based access to X.com features visible to you

10. How users can delete their data

You can delete exported files from your device at any time. You can also remove locally stored extension data by deleting PostKeeper data from the extension dashboard where available, clearing extension storage, or uninstalling the extension from Chrome.

11. Data sharing

We do not sell user data. We may share limited information only as necessary for extension functionality, payment processing, licensing, security, legal compliance, or user support.

12. Data retention

Local archive data remains in your browser storage or on your device until you delete it. Billing and license records may be retained as needed to provide paid access, support, fraud prevention, accounting, and legal compliance.

13. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information we process. No browser extension, software, or internet service can guarantee perfect security.

14. Children's privacy

PostKeeper is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

15. International users

If you use PostKeeper from outside your country of residence, your limited billing or support information may be processed in other countries where our providers operate.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date on this page.

18. Chrome Web Store Limited Use disclosure

PostKeeper's use and transfer of information received from Chrome extension APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We only use user data to provide user-facing features that are clearly described, such as exporting, backing up, and organizing X.com data requested by the user.

• We do not sell user data.
• We do not use user data for advertising.
• We do not transfer user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the extension's features, payment processing, licensing, security, legal compliance, or user support.
• We do not use user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
